This year I started out getting 12 Duke #2 and 12 Duke dp's. I want to get better traps next year. Seems that Mp 550, bridger and Victor are good quality. What way should I go. I have taken fox with #2s, but I would like to get something that I don't have to adjust in the field, something a little better grade. I have no complaints with the Dps

Just start buying one of each till you find one you like. There are a lot of fine traps out there.

bridger, victor,mb,montanas, are all good traps, but rember you get what you pay for. I seem to have alot of victors but there all good traps. go to a trapping store an play with difernt traps, stronger an bigger isent better!!

You won't go wrong with MB 550's or the Bridger #2's or even the 1 3/4 Bridger. I think Victor's and Sleepy Creeks are way too expensive for what they are. I like the square jaws rather than the round jaw so Bridger or MB's are my 1st choice.

bridger, victor and #1 sleepy creek. you can catch just as many critters with a duke or bridger.. but hold one of those and then hold a sleepy creek or mb trap in the other.. you will see where the quality is.
