What they call shrimp up North you use for bait down there D, a pinky finger sized shrimp breaded to thumb size to look better! LOL Between the spice, breading and grease you can't taste the shrimp anyways!

Got that right Jerry , anywere south of the Mason/Dixon it would be a sin to cook shrimp breaded the way they do - tryin to remember the last time I had deep fried breaded shrimp , just checked the local store price that's 1hr. drive from the shrimp lot - runnin $3.90lb. now - that's about a dollar higher , but yer buyin headless and not bulk - people cut you a better deal on 75-100lbs.. plus with crabs in at [now] $20.00 a bushel that should drop -D-

The ones that are about 5" whole are absolutely great fish bait, shame to use them any other way. Used to get them regular here but haven't seen anything but the peeled tiny ones for 3-4 years.

Got down there and well truth be told here it is --- them 2.50 shrimp were big enough for bait .. I paid $3.25 a lb and that was buyin 120lbs he dropped the price .50lb and damn if I wasn't lied to bout the crabs paid $25.00 for 12 of the largest males -- boilin tomorrow 90% cleaned and in the freezer now -D- That slip that I was showed was what they pay coming off the boat -bet I buy next yr. down to Bay of St. Louis , MS.
