this will be a fun season for me, I have some good baits & lures I looking forward to using. I got new areas to trap along my areas I trap,t for years. and I got new ideas to try. with fur prices down theirs no pressure for running long crazylines, II'll just be starting later in the season for those prime pelts, except for 2 farmers I know who want me out there asap. all an all I love trapping season and its alwase nice to hear how everybody else is doing throughout season

Went to snareline days in Eastern SD last weekend and the crowd was small maybe 25-30 people but this is SD! LOL Mike from Groenewold Fur was there sounds like the buyers will be buying and yotes are the critter of interest and he likes my civets also. I am looking to start in late Oct or early Nov, the more prime the better price wise maybe less yotes but better averages that way.

Skunks look like a winner here as they are worth more then a coon and a ginner in each hand!

Well season does not open in Missouri till Nov. 15.....however I have to trap as if fur prices were a $100.00 a piece all my land owners demand it so I will hit it hard so I keep all my land

Hey Guys, good to hear everybody getting primed up for the fur season. Trying to get the bulk of my traps finished and dirt waxed. Most of the sheepmen have shipped their lambs just a few holding out for better prices. Swift fox are thick as grass. Game and fish said if they get in my trap that is okay but I can't target them, so I set my pan tension up and all they do is steal bait,,,, that is not going to work.
