Poly-fil under the pan does not guarantee working traps after massive thunder storms.Had two sets cleaned out this morning. One trap fired after pounding the pan with a stick, the other didn't till I kicked it out of the ground.

isn't that the truth. The only 2 guaranteed things on the line is, what can go wrong will go wrong& a opposom will get in your canine sets

Still tryin to figure this out -- Checkin out a new trap- had a full yote track dead on the center of the pan and didn't fire , next trap had a coon - go figure - nite latched and set to the edge... thinkin them 4 coils might be a little stiff - D-

Even here with waxed dirt if we get a glaze of rain before the snow flies not much will keep a set working. Now the glaze has the top dirt sealed so tight I will need to go to snares until it warms up.
