I have an idea.. might be far fetched I don't know yet.. about 12 yrs ago we had the home cconverted from LP to Natural gas.. my yr old hot water heater at that time was a fixed orfice and could not be removed to be converted. So I sprung for a new NG heater at that time. This older non used unit still sits in my basement.. I'm brainstorming a way to convert it for boiling and dyeing traps. And use a 20lb propane tank
Does anyone have a similar setup they might post photos of??

Might just be easier to get a weed burner and a old barrel then mess with that heater, some had fiberglass tanks anyways. I'd pull that puppy out and sell it they are not cheap you could pick up a few hundred maybe and buy what you need and some traps to boot.

I like the weed burner because I can direct the flame under the drum and out the other side and heat the wax bucket at the same time so 1 flame does the job that way. If the wax gets too hot move it away from the barrel to cold put it next to the drum or turn up the flame.
