I have been knocking around the idea of moving out west. I have my wife on board with this potential move so let me ask you all, if you went out west to live and loved to hunt, trap and fish which state would you pick?
Wyoming or North Dakota or some other state?
Colorado is too liberal for my taste and I'm not sure, but from what I have read Montana seems to be going that way as well.
I have live in Penna. my whole life and I am growing tired of the constant increases in taxes and the constant destruction of lands that I once hunted and trapped on!
Maybe, it's just a dream and I know the grass isn't always greener on the other side, but Penna. is a depressing state to live in and it's only getting worse!

You'd be wise to make a trip around each state, and ask folks questions about each area.
You can also check taxes, cost of living, etc, online
I gota ask, why not SD ?

Well, Wyoming is first simply because it has the lowest population in the US. I just said North Dakota since it seems to be an interesting area, but I spoke with a guy who used to live there and still has friends there and he said that the big Oil & Gas Companies have moved in and land & home prices have skyrocketed and that it's really flat. I always thought ND was mountainous?
I just hope they don't do to ND what they did to PA. Oil and Gas exploration and mining has caused a lot of environmental issues and a lot of folks got taken by the money they threw around here and then pulled out.

Come out a see what your getting into to make the best choice lots of pluses and few negatives in the West everything is way different then out East. People out here are real the quality of life is real you look around and think there is no wildlife here but the sun starts to go down and you won't believe it.
Not a lot of big salaries but lots of work if your willing to do the work you will get a fair wage. The cost of living is not real high and life is good just live within your means is all.
