Been running Wolf Fangs again this year they are flawless on the line this year, it's been warm so frost is not a issue yet. I have 4 drivers and a tip welded one I use. The frost can be a problem here with the already hard ground will become cement like when the wet frost hardens up.
Drivers will bend in the frosty ground so I have 3 extras to switch to when needed during the season rather the straightening out one as I go. Only lost 1 badger because he dug out the fang but I extended the cable to 24 inches (start length) and that helped with that, this also allows the top of the driver to end up at ground level for easy removal with my digger hammer if things get sticky. It allows me to place the digger bar under the driver head and pop it out using the ground for support. Sometimes a few side taps help to release the grip on the fang.
This saves my back from the old rerod stakes that won't pull when the frost sets in so they are worth the cost and cheap enough I can cut and walk away once done at a set.
Just impressed with how integral they have become on my line I still stake the 3N longs and my 1.75 Sleepy Creek traps that I don't use a lot.

Had to pull a couple snare rerod support stakes and it reminded me why cutting the cable is a back saver. LOL

I think it may take a Heavier Duty Air Hammer to bust through Rock! It's COLD enough Out On The Line, shaking from the Cold, using a Heavier Air Hammer You WILL Be Shaking! lol I may be incorrect, not much steel around these days that will knock a hole or crevice through Rock. lol The Chinese folks are working OverTime to make this New Steel, It frowns at ANY Rock it see's or comes into contact with, Seems to go South Every Time! lol If a fellow worked on the Temper Code, he/she may be able to make a stout Steel device today, be $$$ though! Bring U.S. STEEL back! The Pittsburgh Steelers WOULD LOVE IT! ALSO!
