I bet there was some beaver castor in that rub lure.

Sorts happened to me last yr. I was finding more bobcat sign on one property than I ever have. Full of cats.. pristine beaver workings, turned a few hundred acres into swamp. Nice fresh creek is how it all started.. anyways I set out all kinds of snares and various sets for cats.. one of the lures I was using I made myself, muskrat glands, mink gland, little beaver castor and high quality civet paste. I picked up several otter in cat sets with this lure.

I do too. We have otter galore down here. From North Central to northeast Louisiana.. otters and beavers everywhere. Too bad beaver ain't worth the work.

It’s a fun filled day with a live otter in a 1-1/2 tangled up in waist deep water

Water raptors. I'd rather wrestle an alligator.
