Do you guys have any tips on having a garden in the wilderness? Was thinking about having one. I just need to figure out how to get water to it from the creek.

dig you a small shallow ditch to the garden to the creek, then a small ditch between the rows .at the creek place a small threaded pipe under the water and add a cap on the end.when it's time just screw the cap off fill the ditches and recap..
or
take a well pump put one end in water run power to it to pump the water to the garden

find a very comfortable handle on a bucket.....lol I agree with Bill. The size of the garden would be a factor also. can you get a generator to this place? IF so, a sump pump and a water hose will sufice. If its only a few rows of beans or a couple of 'mater plants, then the bucket will work. IF the garden will be "downhill" from the creek, you may bee able to submerge some poly pipe so that it fills with water, then cover the end you want to place in the garden and siphen water to the crops...

I was thinking I'd have small little channels going throug the garden but I'm trying to think of how to get it there. I couldn't get a generator out to it and it kind of up hill from the creek.
