Any of you guys use electrolisis(spelling?) to clean traps that are rusty? It's where you use electrical current to clean metal. It's unbelievable. As son as I can figure out how to do a video, I will try to post it here. Can make a junk trap look like a shiny new one.

I don't much care for electricity and water in the same area...I will stick to vineagar...I watched a short video on it and it is interesting. Tom

I just use a brush wheel, just attaxh the trap the a vice and work from there, but I do that for the inner jaws pan etc. for the outer part of the jaws and springs I use one thats on a grinding wheel.

get you some white vinger andmix 50/50 but before you do that boil with hardwood ash lot safer

Bill hardwood ash is great but really any fine wood ash works. I use what every I have from birch to pine ash.

thats true scott here we use hard wood ash. pine ash has a odor from the pine rosin and can cantamated your trap seen way to many chimney fires due to that rosin just wanted tp clear that up as well
