I have been working on a dozen Duke #3 traps that I intend to use on public land this fall. I have been able to get the pans level, but several are cocked either to the left or to the right if you are looking across the pan and lined up on the dog. Some are tilted as much as a 1/4 inch. How can I take this out and make the pan level from side to side.

Bend it with channel locks.

Am I actually twisting the bar that the pan is attached to or the posts that the bolts goes through. I have never seen this problem before

Can you put a washer made of brass or teflon on one side?

I an not sure that would help or where I would put the washer. I put the bigger bolts in and there is no left or right play. The pan is tight. It is as if the pan is bent, but I took it off a used a straight edge and the top side is not bent, so it has to be on the bottom bar under the pan.

Is the trap frame bent?

That is possible. They were all bent. I had to straighten them before I added the base plates. I will check that tomorrow. I may have not got them all perfectly straight. Thanks for the advice.
