Because they are not prime. right on the money ,now you can freeze the blue hide and cut the blue back a degree but you will have what the call a shade and you still get docked but not as bad

Here is a tip that i learned from a friend of mine who has been trapping many years........After placing those blue coon on the stretcher, take a soapy rag (i prefer dish soap) and wipe down the leather side of the pelt. This won't make a blue coon white, but it will definitely help the color a little bit. This also helps dry the pelts faster and makes them less greasy feeling due to the degreaser in the soap. Give this a try this fall to a pelt or two and i think you will like it.

Heres you for yall,put up a mink durn things aint blue try black,at the same time frame all gray and red are prime and out of 4 yotes so far only 1 is not showing full prime-havent started on the coons yet -D-
