Looking good to me, I have used the wire hoops and let them shape the pelt and never had any complaints about them!! Looks good to me~~

Pappa I will pick it apart when I get a chance. It is really easy to make a beaver board by hand and get really close. I will do a video on how to, that way anyone who only catches a handful doesn't need the stencil.

Thanks LawDog. Chris, I sure was suprised to see a beaver here. Must have been a LONELY beaver lol. I'm just glad it wasn't rotten or slipping yet. I have a feeling that I probably won't see another one for a while, makes a guy sure miss trapping them. One question though, does the face have to be cleaned perfectly? I guess that's where I had the hardest time.

No, the face doesnt not have to be perfect. i usually just trim the bigger chunks off with a knife.

Looks really good Papa with the nails I would pull the hide away from the board about an inch or so to help it dry faster but that isnt necessary just helps the drying a little is all

Papa your beaver looks clean but just your shape is a bit off with not using a pattern to follow. Also like kirk had mentioned raise the pelt up off the board, this will also help in the drying, especially if your fur is wet. Boarding wet fur is not recommended.
