Does anybody know what the black slippery coating is on the 1.5 BS coil that Cumberland sells ? It is a basic Duke that has been modified.

Kendall the originator. Of this trap this Guy is a trip he is no BS himself but I would say the trap is a modifid Montana longliner and the pan which he likes to run at a 45 degree angle. When set is probably. The simpelist Design I did ask him on the coating and he pretended to get a phone call lol. I don't know about those Iowa guys but this dude has my attention great trap built by great trapper I like his system "just do it"

No way a montana longliner. The jaws are are pretty high up on the Rockwell scale after talking to Kendall. And the springs are not everyday springs either.
