Always start out trappin beavers first, by the end of season they look like rags -overpopulations-last spot was about a 100yd stretch , 4 beav and 1 big buck otter 2 days .. well hit the new place yesterday NEW waders [lol] set 2 330s on stands , little 4ft wide feeder creek that feeds the bigger deep creek- side-by-side set, and started walking up it to get a bump log and sticks for blocking didn't go 15ft. and bam right between the legs a beaver was going south -- kicked off 1 leg a didn't think much of it - 15min. later my foot started getting wet -dang thing had snagged me .. so much for new waders - not bad set the line and headed home .. 1hr drive to Gander Mt. new waders and did a up-grade hope these fare better .. now for the Waders , bought a pair of USiA wader awhile back you have to order them they make them to fit you .. was going thru 2 pair a year till I bought them [beav-turtle trappin play hell on waders] the USiA waders got a leak on the inside of the leg [wear from walking MILES] and guess need to order a new pair anyway.. getting fat gained 40lbs in 4 yrs. from quittin smokin -- IF you think about ordering USiA waders remember order boot size at least 2 sizes bigger if your going to wear heavy socks go 3 sizes - on the waist add no less then 4in. - these waders a super light weight less then half of normal waders .. last thing you have about a 3 month wait on getting them so that's why I am wearing waders that might make 2 months -MAYBE- Price on USiA waders bout $350.00 with the extras - price of waders at the store $200.00 on the cheap ones now times that by 2 pair = $400.00 now times that by 4 years that $1600.00 -not a bad saving if your trappin beav. ADC and turtles -just my thoughts and tryin to help -D-
