I wouldn't call it crazy. How one values their time makes all the difference. What anyone else thinks is irrelevant. We are hoping the coon population is a healthy one on the new property we are dropping traps. Plenty of sign, looking forward to setting traps with the kids.

I just got my trap in the mail yesterday and am getting them all setup my way and ready to dye and wax. Season has already started here in Wyoming but I am waiting on my non resident license approval to get taken care of so i got a little time i guess. I am going to be hitting the coon and fox pretty hard as they are abundant and I enjoy it. I will get more into coyotes and water trapping as the shine wears off getting traps back in the ground i suppose.

Put out 6 coon sets today just to see how they look and when they look good I will put out a bunch more. Coyotes more towards the end of the month. Rats and beavers next week. D I shipped everything to FHA last year so I did not get burnt with bounced cheques and everything I sent sold even the possums.

Got a nice colored skunk this morning and a big female raccoon. Letting them cool before I flesh them. They are real fat and living next to a soy bean field, so we know what they have been eating.

We're starting back on the 28th of October. I hope we can get all our baseplates and laminations welded on before then! I'm targeting coyote, bobcat, fox, coon, skunk, badger, and possum. I really want to get a possum this year, we don't have very many at all; I might see two sets of possum tracks each season!
We're heading to the TTFHA (Texas Trappers & Fur Hunter Assoc.) rendezvous in Brownwood tomorrow! Can't wait; my second ever trapper rendezvous!

Plan A yotes if the wet make that hard plan B is longline some skunks then off of the hardtop! Been going strong on city skunks since early spring. Just about had it with them, they are everywhere and getting into everything. Fortunately they pay well for removal so trap doors will continue to fall.

2 Raccoons, 1 Possum and another Skunk this morning. Not bad for six sets. Now if they are all prime that would be a bonus.

Should be fat now also great for making oil and grease, by spring that fat is paper thin. Abby put on 3-4 pounds for winter incase the heat goes out. LOL
