1 doz hard boiled eggs( peeled) 1 cup water 1/4 cup liquid smoke 1/4 cup white vinegar 1 tsp brown sugar 1 quart glass jar with ring and lid
Boil the water, liquid smoke, vinegar, and brown sugar, while boiling place eggs in jar tightly. Set the jar in hot tap water then pour the brine into the jar so that it covers the eggs. Seal tightly with ring and lid. After the jar has cooled a few hours place in the fridge for 2 days, shake the jar 2 times a day.
After 2 days get some crackers and sharp cheddar cheese and a cold beer. Cut the eggs into slices place on crackers with cheese, eat egg, cheese and cracker then have a swig of beer....

Just finished off a qt of jalapeno pickled eggs you know I'm going to try these smoked ones.
Here's how I make the jalapeno eggs
One doz peeled hard boiled eggs, 26 oz can of sliced or whole pickled jalapeno peppers (if whole slice),one cup pickling juice from jalapenos, 1/2 cup sugar, one cup white vinegar,a small handful of pickling spice or how much you want to use and a quart jar.
One doz eggs just fits in a quart canning jar.
Boil vinegar, pickling juice from jalapenos, pickling spice and sugar. Can add some water if you don't have enough jalapeno juice to make one cup.
Put a layer of eggs in jar, layer of sliced jalapeno and repeat til eggs are used up. 3-4 layers. Pour hot liquid in to fill jar and put on lid. Put in fridge 5 days unless you can't wait to sample them. They turn out not to sweet & not to spicy hot.
