make a trap kinda like a little grix, I have been tryin to find springs but I'm not findin any, they are a really simple design should be real easy to make. I have some set up, just need springs, could I maybe buy some off of you?

I could be (and probably) am wrong....
But here's my first thought after reading that idea.
If the spring is weak enough that it needed to be replaced on a coilspring, why would you want to put it on a Griz style trap, where spring strength alone dictates the holding capability?
Now, maybe on a style that uses a "door"...where the hold is more a matter of leverage, used springs would work.
But still, if I spent the time and initiative to build a dog-proof...I'd kick out an extra buck or two and put some new springs on it.
But I haven't done that...so I'm just babbling.
Don't know what to do with old springs either.

New sets of springs in those sizes only run about $1.50 a pair.I agree with MNCedar on this would seem a waste to not use good springs. It seems to be a small price to pay for peace of mind.
