I gave crow hunting / calling a shot invested a lot of money in it and had very poor success.. Crows are the smartest animal I have ever hunted! so go into with that mindset and you might have decent luck... Remember they can see as good as a turkey and have the intelligence greater than A primate...

I get at least 2 to 3 dozen crows out when I go crow hunting. I place bread out away from them and some near them. I use a semi auto 16 gauge. I have 4 other calls I use when I do. A crow mating,Female, male, and crow in danger. I got 13 this year by doing all of this stuff. GOOD LUCK:)
Crow are smart.Like mentioned above, don't move, don't shoot the first one to come in by itself. This is the crow that will tell the others its OK to come to your call or food sourse.I use a Large MacDonalds Bag(the fast food joint ) ,with some fries scattered around.Crows know the golden arches mean free food.Laugh all you want ,It works..lol..My friends and I still laugh about it.But we get alot off crows when we hunt them that way..Oh yeah, stay out off site, they have great eye site.. I use to get in the brush along a fence row .. a owl decoy and 1/2 doz crow decoys and I dont even know if they make them anymore but it was called Olts crow call [blk plastic] and a wooden owl call , forget the name of it .. -D-
