have any of you trappers,hunters.or fishermen ever heard of the beer bottle top fishing lure:) i was wondering if any of you guys/women could give me some tips on makeing them

I don't know if this is the same, but if you take a beer ( or soda) cap off those glass bottles, get a nail, and poke 2 holes in it, one in the bottom, on on top, put trap wire on the top and make a loop, do the same on the bottom, but obvously add a hook. they work good and they are virtually free, go to any lake shore and you should fine enough lids to supply you for years, the only problem is they have no weight. but a few split shot takes care of that, OR, you can put 2 holes in it, and run one piece, with a loop on the top (think making a rabbbit snare) and then run a few split shot in the concave part of the lid, and then finish running it through the other hole, and put on your hook.
