That is something I will have to check into. I got a whole valley full of the stuff. I have heard the roots are long and grow deep. I will check around for who buys that. I found quite a few ramps last spring. Gave some to friends, family, and ate a bunch. Do you guys go around and peddle them to the resturaunts or do you through your fur buyer for those to.

Ramps, leeks and cow slips people go nuts for here in the spring.Spring time I'm after morrels and fiddleheads mostly.
Trout saute'd in morrels with fiddleheads and garlic/leek butter mmmm good eats.
If your into shrooms..The hen-of the -woods,oysters and puff balls are ready......Shagy manes are far and few now....

I just started gathering morrels a couple of years ago and haven't learned that other edibles yet. Not to many people around here go after them that I know of.

I never give up the chance to dig up some yellow root and jinsing when out in the woods or along the creek banks. Yellow root is a natural medicine used by the indians for may things, especially stomuch problems, but be careful and dont use too much or it will cause a chemical imbalance.
