hayden - they will work for beaver, but they fall into a fine line for front foot versus back foot catches. I would personally not mix my coyote traps with my water traps. I am fortunate enough to have completely seperate traps for each. It might be just me, but i would stick with the 330's and 750s for beaver if you have them. If you get caught in a pinch and needed a trap, well you need to make do with what you have!! Good Luck!!

Find some old strong #4 Longsprings they are one of the best beaver traps a guy can get for the price! IMHO

I agree with both Chris and Jerry, I would like to add #3 and #4 jumps. The #3 jump has a pretty big jaw spread. the #4 jump is just a killer for beaver trapping.

Did you go to the MTA convention this past weekend? I was able to pick up 3ea #4 jumps at their consignment auction Friday evening. 2ea were home made #14 (welded teeth @ $7.50 ea) and one was a real #14 Victor @ $22.00 ea. I thought that was a fairly good deal. Since I am probably too old to even set these things, I am wondering if there is a setting tool available for them? Any help will be appreciated. David

For the money Jerrys right No. 4 dbl longspring is the way to go,still use them if close to people[beaver only/water]but sure like them 750s,and I myself wouldnt use a 3 on beav, tie into a 60+lber and dont think it wise choice of trap-just my thoughts[DUKE??]
