if you would just flip that dog on that long spring and put it the opposite way it would save you some bending....

I open the box of traps, toss them in thelawn, and wait for the rust to start LOL. After the rust is where i want it, i will boil the trap in clean water. After it dries i then start the dying process. If you want to expedite the rusting process, place them in the dishwasher and run them on a heavy duty cycle with a lot of dish detergent.

why,why,why,why rust new traps........just so they look black.....thats just crazy....if they are land traps ofcoarse...they will be burried anyways...animals dont care what color they are when they are on thier feet....
traps will rust thru time enough to hold dye.....
