cooked crawdeads aka crayfish till red then soaked in shelfish oil and or salmon oil. on any opinion do you think this would work for coon and mink in pockets?

Hayden, in my limited experience, i would say yes it will work, and no its not worth the time.
I think fresh fish will do the same thing, and is alot less time comsuming.
If your gonna take the time and take the tails out and cook them, there to good to be turned into trapping bait...just eat them, if you have the time to do that??

most likely it would work ... coon are fairly simple to persuade
how about this, it might take a lil more time but it's all up to you, just suggestions
fresh grind your crawdads (whole/uncooked) ... then preserve with sodium benzoate ... not that salmon oil is a bad choice but it may mute the true crawfish odor, how about trying crawfish oil (the sweet good smelling stuff not the rank) and just a small amount of shellfish oil, just enough to detect it when blended ... a small amount of glycerine can be added but don't add too much
good luck, have fun
