Beaver Guys and Gals -
Whats the best way to tell when the beaver is ready to be taken off of a board?
Sincerely

capnjack - the pelt will feel and sound just like a coon's leather when it is dry. With good air movement, and low humidity a beaver pelt can be taken off the board in 3 days. If you don't have good air movement or low humidity, i would leave them on for 5 days before pulling.

A good rule of thumb is when the nose is dry to the touch on the skin side. Chris is right on, 3-5 days should be fine.
