Hey, guys I was wanting to cook some beaver this year to try it but my schedule won't allow me to set beaver traps and I was told by a friend that wood chuck is good. first off are there any glands that I need to remove from the woodchuck before I cook it and where are they. and last does anyone know of a good crock pot recipe for them because my mom won't let me cook any rodent or anything else that I trap with here stuff so she gave me a crock pot. can any of you help me out ;D

If you can get past the Ticks, Really Strong Blood odor, your a beter man than myself. My Brothers has eaten young ones and he says he likes them. I've cleaned, gutted, skinned a lot of critters but Ground Hog is one I pass on. Sorry just my two cents. I would imagine you could just brown, like anything else and put in a pressure cooker for 25 minutes. See if you can get past the Ticks and such first? Thumb
