Thinking hard about getting a few to try. What does everyone think of them? All reviews appreciated.

I own the offsets, they will not hold a coon by the front paw. Get the new standard jaw if coon is possible. The trap is a very good trap, maybe one of the best. If there is no chance of theft, go for it.

I like the 550's. Mine are offset(Okla. law), I dont target coon with them. Mine are 2 coiled.

I use mine right out of the box! The only thing that keeps me from haveing a lot of these traps is the price.

I think iam going to buy a few and see it i like them first. No sence in dropping 200 bucks on something you dont like. just my .02 cents. But i have heard good reviews on them!

I own the offsets, they will not hold a coon by the front paw. I have caught and held coon by the front foot with these traps. they were large coon though. IMHO, they are definitely not a good coon trap and don't believe they are advertised as one. To much damage. They are a good coyote trap though.

I will not be targeting coon with these traps for sure. I got plenty of duke 1 1/2's for that.

If your trapping in a area where coon can be go, with the MB-550-CL Closed Jaw, not the RC
