first pic is when i went out there and second and third pic is after i reset it and dug up some dirt, i add more egg and little bit of my tune, honey, bacon grease mix and i also put alittle spritz of fox cover scent down that i got from bass pro yesterday in the first pic you can surely see that some animals have come in to investigate and then i came in an trampled everything trying to get through the frozen ground to get fresh dirt i also had to use a hammer to break up the ground to get my foothold out, the dirt on top had frozen and the trap would fire, i suppose i put too much dirt on it... snares still blank, it looks like they got smart and they are using the field behind me and crossing over in the woods now

Your learning quick Marc your sets look good. One pointer I can give you based on your pics is try to minimize your movements around your set's. I see in your second pic you did a lot of moving around based on your tracks. Try to slip in and slip out with out moving around too much. I carry everything I need from tools trap and lure so I do not have to keep walking back and forth too much creating a larger scent pool than I need too. I also like to kick out as many of my tracks as I can. Remember coyotes are not smart they are just very leery wimps who spook very easy... I bought one of those foam kneeling pads for gardening last year and it has been a god send to my knees and I am leaving less scent at my sets since my knees are off the ground. Keep at it you will get one soon!!

that should be enough eye appeal for a yote.... I see a lot of "your tracks" in the area---check from a distance when you can (minimize your movement and time there)! I see that the animals are showing a little interest---leave it be for a while...... Also, as stated above, something to keep the trap from "freezeing" to the ground would help ya--you dont want them to finaly commit and your trap not go off! are there sticks sticking out of the hole? or are they just laying in front? your set looks good, only other thing I might add would be some feathers..... just my 2 cents worth, all advise given so far is good! I'd like to hear what Yotekillerbill and Jtdaniel think about the set....and what they would do in your situation...

the sticks are just laying down infront of the hole and there is 1 in there cause i used it to scrape out some stanky eggs. i also srptized down some fox urine cover scent on the front of the backing. if i can i will get out to the coop tomorrow and snatch up some chicken feathers to toss out there
