I just came across some 1/4 7x7, will this work for snaring coyotes or will it be better just to use for anchors?

Looks like I gotta get to Africa! Il just use it for anchoring. My buddy said it was too big, but it said 7x7 on it; I just didn't know there was different sizes of 7x7. We got 300 ft for 20 bucks. Live and learn I rekon. So what's the optimal size for coyotes? Also, is there a local place to get it znd all of the other accessories i.e. stops, ferrels, rivets ect.

7x7 means there are 7 bundles of 7 strands of wire in the cable. 7x7 comes in lot of sizes 3/32 is what I would use if using 7x7 on coyotes. I prefer 1x19 5/64 on coyotes personally because it is smaller diameter and more chew resistant that 7x7... hope that made sense??

TSC carry's 7x7 3/32 but you pay out the rear for it... If you are only making a dozen or so it should not be too bad.. If you want to build a lot of snares I would recommend buying from a trapping supply dealer like MTP where you can get it for a fraction of the cost you would pay at local hardware or farm stores.... As far as locks go you can build your own but getting the right bend and hole size can be tricky. For the cable stops you can flatten nuts with a hammer if you do not have a swagger and aluminum stops and ferrules...
