turns out relaxing locks arent so relaxing i showed up and i found him dead in my snare tight around his neck an he died well before our snow last night cause i had to fallow the cable and it lead to under the snow and i gave it a tug and this guy came up frozen

I use relaxing locks on my snares also. I've had a couple coyotes fight the snare so hard that they twist the wire so tight and the lock won't relax even in a non-entanglement situation.
