Here is what I use for trap cover.First I always grow a smal patch of weeds then mow and rake up and,let em grow some more and rake up,and as I do this the ground is very rich dirt that has these tiny weed pieces and I let it break down then rake it up and load up 5 gallon pales and run thru my sifter over trap,AND THERE IS NOTHING that's even remotely big enough to trouble trap closing ,because all the big stuff is dumped out around set blending ground.
Now understand I have a huge pattern of this sifted over about 48 inches and in front of trap, that way it gets my animal on the pattern EARLY so there is no digging as he will usually scratch around out toward front if he thinks he needs to! Truly blends the area good and its natural, even if in plowed ground it looks good and is an eye attractor!!!Larry

Good suspicion remover, just like a pile of the extra dirt from your trap bed thrown up near a flat set, makes um think another animal has been digging around near the set.
