So yesterday i took a call from a lady complaining a beaver family has moved into their residentual neighborhood an dammed up a small creek and is eating all their plants. upon arrival i quickly found out it the beaver oddly dammed up a small dranage ditch and there was only maybe 50 gallons of water sitting above the dam. and if that wasnt odd enough... the beaver took up home in about a 3ft by 3ft cement culvert directly under the street! Either way, a jobs a job, i set the traps. and my phone rang this morning saying there was a beaver tail floating above the dam. Nice male. They sure were happy to see him go. the mom smiled and laughed. the dad took pictures with it. the dog sniffed it and growled and the kids got to pet the "sleeping" beaver. hahaha neighbors gthered around drinking coffee and everyone got a short biology lesson on beaver. Giving a trapper just that little bit better of an image to the public. Good way to start a day.

Job well done!! I see beaver living under roads where i am at once in a while. They can make a real mess of that road when they hollow it out. Usually the county will have to pull the culvert out and and redo the road bed because they take so much gravel out of it. Keep hammering them!!!!

alwright, its something new and interesting to them. most people have never met a true trapper, let alone seen one at work. I dont mind trappin in the city. it gives the people a chance to actually see what we do and kill any myths of us being inhumane or cruel to the animal. and shows how what we do actually helps the eco system.
