I am (hopefully) getting my pay check here in a couple days, I havn't got it in over a month. but ith this one, I will be getting trapping supplies. here is my list
Fleshing knife, I am trying to make one, but I can't find the right steel for a blade, and I want a quality one that wont fall apart.
dozen NO 3 coil springs for coyote fox and marten. marten you say? yes, the reason for NO 3 is, eve though the rage is 1.75 for coyotes, I prefer bigger traps, because I REALLY don want loose one. means how, I will prolly one get one all season and a NO 3 will kill a marten if I incidently catch one. which is a plus.
1/2 doz. NO 1 long springs for weasle marten and muskrat.
1.2 doz 330's for lynx, beaver and otter, I am choosing the 330 because, I think it will get a better "snap" of lynx and beaver, and it will still kill and otter that does through it, even if it does get its chest.
Estwing ax, I am choosing estwing, because they make a quality long, steel handles ax, I don't ant wood because it has broken on me when its really cold.
fleshing beam. eather make one, or buy one.
plywood or boards for stretchers.
one of those high sides "jet sleds" for carrying supplies.
rope.
wire for tying traps
snares
I'm buolding a pack basked out of a 5 gallon bucket or a small garbage can or something.
parrafin wax for waxing traps.
small quality knife for skinning.
buckets for lynx sets
snowshoes
tail stripper
glycerine for my lure I make for fox and such
lure.
is there any thing I am forgetting, I have a snowmachine, I will buy gas as I need it, I have stretchers, a shed, chain. I will be tying off to trees and such any thing else I need?
