Hi Folks, I'm writing this thread here to let you know how I feel about Minnesota Trapline Products, Inc. I've been trapping on & off for roughly 30 years now and have bought supplies through a number of companies over the years. In the past several months I have bought supplies through MN Trapline Products a few times and I have to say that Im very impressed with the Cavens family and their company up there. This past season, I finally wore out a set of waders and started looking for a pair of hip boots. For me, I have size 15 feet so you can understand why I have a hard time finding boots that will fit me. With the hip boots, I went with LaCross because I know that they are dependable and they do make my size. Even though Mn Trapline Products doesnt have my size on their shelves, I spoke with Jeff Caven and he had ordered me a pair remarkably fast. Jeff had sent these to me along with the other supplys right away as where I noticed other companies in the past would send an order at their leisure and it would have taken more time to get stuff. When I spoke with Jeff and others over the phone, they were very polite, understanding, knowledgible, and very professional. They didnt talk down to me like some airrgant companies do when you place an order. This in my own humble opinion, means the world to me when I'm shelling out my hard earned dollars to a company. I really dont like to advertise for companies including Bass Pro, Cabelas, and such but I was so impressed by Mn Trapline Products that in my last order, I even bought one of their shirts and I do wear it and tell other trappers how well this company treats their customers. You can bet your ass that in the future, I will be ordering from them again! I'm not an employee of them nor am I getting paid in anyway to say what I just said. I'm just simply impressed and delighted by this outfit!

I agree 100% Ron.
I have nothing but good things to say about MTP.I just don't understand how I can make an order in the morning and it's on my step the next day without extra charge and I'm in Pa.I always did support the small guy.Bass pro ,cabelas, and Gander mountian are mostly my last choices. There are 2 other trapping suppliers that I found that got that same service.I support them also.I don't want to mention too many names and make this an advertisement without permission from the big guy....MTP is a class act..IMO

LOL J/K Tim and his crew have it together and it shows, you feel like you just hang up the phone and then trip over the box on your porch!!!! Super people to deal with anytime of the year!

Been dealing with Tim and Nancy for many years and have lots of respect for them, its really nice when they have dealt with my dad many years before and now still put in personal notes to ask how he is. Never have we had a complaint.

Ive seen their ads and got a catalog off and on for years but never ordered from them. Northwestern, Kaatz Bros, Hoosier trapper Supply etc have all treated me good over the years. Cronks was a A1 class act years ago but I dont think they've did mail order for sometime? Believe it or not some of the biggest lure makers/suppliers are the biggest pains to deal with. I havent seen a catalog or ad in years but is Shedas in Iowa still going? They were a class act too. We had a dealer we did alot of business with Magee Fur and Root in Eolia, Missouri but some Finns bought them out and last I knew they were root only?

I use F&T and they are always very fast. Sometimes they slip me in free goodies too. But I should give MTP a go, I have always heard great things about them!

A lot of great companies out there to deal with and I try to spread my business around but MTP gets the lions share. Last year when I headed to Iowa for the opener I realized 200 miles from home my hip boots were not in the truck but an MTP cataloge was. A quick cell phone call and the next day they arrived at camp. That is service.

Yes, MTP is top notch in my book, for being a Veteran they gave me a free hat, not expecting that at all, great service, and great people
