Ain't even close to ready for trapping season?
Shed's a mess. Traps need another dye and wax. Need more coni stands. Need to make fisher boxes. Need to make my floats float. Need more beaver boards. I have no idea what I have for bait in my freezer. Need to finish that money pit of a sled. Fourwheeler transmission is making a funky grinding noise. That's bad.
What'd I forget? Oh my I need to work less to get all this done. And I still need a few more cord of wood to cut and stack....

Been hitting it hard all summer I got a lot done still a lot to do, lets see, made about 200 rebar stakes, 100 rat float stakes, 100 MB coni bracket spikes, bottled several pints of lures and baits, repaired, dyed and waxed countless traps for me and several other friends, made a lot of coon/cat cages and have a start on my wood piles and wood racks and collected a large amount of carp bait too! Still lots to do no days off for a while it looks like!

k9 traps dyed/waxed/adjusted and stored away for the summer. Water traps: waxed/ adjusted and put away for the summer. Peat moss, sifted/dried/ put away...might need some more of that stuff!
Got my trapping tools, fur handling equipment ect all cleaned up and stored, ready for the season.
Got my lures ready to go, and stored in the fridge ]
All i really need to do is get a couple odds and ends, and some larger grained dried dirt, and i'm ready to roll!!!

Yeah D, I will be ready for a break by the time you get back off the boat. I am getting to feel better and actually make a little headway here, so getting on your side of the river would be a good thing.
Me, naw, I aint ready. My mind is running all the time and my butt is not getting it done, but I have moved to a higher gear now though. ( Still in the deep reduction box, but moved up one) I got it planned that about a week before season opens, I will have that shifter up against the dash board............

I have way too much to do yet LOL! i did cut a fair amount of cable the other day, and got all the extra chain added to the new mb550's. I have about 18 gallons of fish paste to collect yet, scout, scout, scout, and scout some more yet, talk to landowners, dye and wax all the dirt traps, night latch about 72 duke 1.5 yet, paint all the water traps, paint all the conibears, cut a bunch more stabilizers for the my 220's, pound a ton of ferrules onto some cable, clean the fur shed right before season, make some more stretchers, make a couple new fleshing beams, install a foot switch to the skinning machine, invest in a new camers so the wife doesn't kille me for using hers, get log books set up, and last but not least waiting patiently for the season to get up and rolling! So who wants to come help me LOL. Oh yeah i have Mike to pawn a lot of this stuff on

Ive still got a bunch of snares and extensions to make. Need to make more 3-hole stakes for coon/fox snares and find some rebar for kill poles.

BBB do you have a picture of these 3 hole stakes? I haven't ever heard of them. We can't snare here but I still find it interesting.
I am feeling a little more prepared after reading some of these posts! Ha! Got my floats floating today, so that's a step in the right direction....

I gotcha now Sniper. Looks like you do very well with them!
Maybe someday we will see a snare program in the state on Maine again so I like to learn about it. Thanks!

Heck, I just finished up my tanning. I did put in new shelves in the shed .didn't realize how much lure i had as it was all in several boxes. I think 1000 oz. should be good. still have traps to tag and more comming in. Half of last years never hit the ground so they shouldn't need too much work on them. Want to get some coni boxes made though. picked up a couple nice farms and sawq a nice coyote while scouting on one. Should have got the dirt collected when it was dry!!
