My wife and I have been working on getting custody of our grandson for some time now.We had our hearing in front of a GrandMaster (JUDGE) yesterday. The mother of our grandson never showed up,and the Judge was going do a continuance until my wife showed some pictures of my grandson to her(the judge). She gasped, and asked a few questions. She then looked up a few papers and gave us FULL CUSTODY ..What a RELIEF... Now I have a future trapper, and I can't wait for the season to start.. I had to share this, just a proud Grandpa.. Bob

Congrats Bob, we are in much the same situation here........... but a day late, but working to get the same result. I have a niece that has a 3 year old, and she has a need for him, like I need one more bullet in me...............Cherish the time you have with that grand child.

It seems lots of grandparents today getting custody of the grasndkids...what is this saying about our youth of today? ITs a very sad thing !Congradulations on saving a child that is so ionnocent and deserves better than the parents can do. I am assuming thats the case why else did you get custody. You may just have saved a CHILD!Good for you.

bobo, it takes a good man and a good woman to take on the responsibility of raising a Grand Child. My hat is off to you and your wife. God Bless you. Enjoy the future with the child and raise him to be an outdoorsman. He will do well I suspect.

Congratulations with the outcome. Now don't spoil him like I have done in the past. It is really easy to do and hard to change later. David

Two by half! Oh me oh my, I do hope you are as spry as your heart tells you that you are!
I applaud you for what you are doing, every child deserves a safe happy home. I just hope my children allow me to grow old and grumpy without having to step in. But I would if need be!
Take lots of pictures on the line Bob-O, so we can all enjoy your treasures.

In the state of maine a mother can do drugsin front of her kids, take them on drug deals, neglect them to the point of their skin is raw, riddled with flea bites, passout in a running car in feburary and give up her 7yo because he told his father what was happening. She admitted all this in court. It cost 30,000 to find out the st. of Maine does not care about it's children but more on the feelings of the mother. My grandson is 3now
