I went out yesterday and re-upped and got new permission.I was amazed on the Thank You I got about stopping and re-asking permission. One farmer didn't like anyone on his farm cause of problems in the past. That morning before I stopped in he had to kill a mink in the chicken coop..I guess you could say I was at the right place at the right time...I was told no last year.I just had to ask again cause this place is a major funnel.... I don't think I could feel right just to walk on somewhere and trap, fish or hunt with out asking..Maybe I'm old school where Yes sir and No mam and a hand shake still means something....

Nope you are not old school at all. The problem is that many are not schooled, in the proper ways to conduct themselves. Guess you could say, they are not schooled. See what the world has become, over simple things, that are not taught...................... sorry, I had to vent on that one.

My neighbor (a mile down the road) has always chased everyone off his property .I decided I was going to ask permission to hunt a white turkey a few years back.He looked at me a little puzzled, and said I was the first person to ask,and said I was the only one to hunt ,trap, even four wheel any time I want.(nobody else !!) I was supprised !!! 146 acres to trap and hunt to myself...........IT PAYS TO ASK.......BOB

That farm I picked up yesterday the guy was suprized when I handed my card with all my info.I also told him to call day or night, because after all those traps are our responsibility. After we talked awhile,he said I could trap his other 4 farms. Before I go ask any one permission ...I got my hair cut, trimmed the beard and washed the truck.I didn't want to look like I just crawled out of the woods LOL...I look like that at the end of the season..... ;D

X2 ,and your not venting ,a simiple may I will get you farther than thought you wouldn't care Think most people believe it's better to ask for forgiveness than for permission ,and it bite a lot in the rear as the owners don't open up any land cause of it I call all my land owners every year ,or stop by the shops and in person ask them
