I'm looking to buy a new set of chest waders and would like some opinions from you all. Main use would be for fishing but making beaver sets as well.
Thanks
Jim

I have not tried these personally but IF I can find them in my size I would snatch them up! They run around $290. My bf just recently purchased them and he didn't want to take them off! Wierdo.

I go thru 2-3 pair of chest waders every year , reason --them dang beaver sticks , after doing a bunch of research I found a company that makes chestwaders that are built out of diving material and then covered with overlay fabric , what I understand if you ever rip or get a hole in them they replace them .. still waiting for a return call on price -- BTW there made 1 pair at a time -D-

I had a awesome set of waders that lasted way longer and were super light. Long story short, they don't make them anymore. Back to hunting for a new set that is going to hold up!

My buddy has a nice set of lacrosse that have the velcro straps. I use pro-line right now with the buckles like the ones KrostenD showed, but the straps slide down off my shoulders all the time. As soon as I wear out the pro-lines I'm going to get the lacrosse.

Hey lureinthemin , just might pay a pile of money -But figure it this way , say your avreage pair of chestwaders run $250.00 now if you times that by 3 its $750.00 now just saying I get just 2 years out of them thats $1500.00 -now these dang boots have a lifetime warrenty on em so even a old fart like me can figure even if they cost $1000.00 and last 3-4 years thats called keepin my butt dry- CHEAP-----D-

I bought a pair of chest waders this year from Cabelas. There 1,000 gram, of thinsulate in the boots and made from 1,000 gram thinsulate Neoprene, the same thing my dive suit is made of and they have the rip stop material sewn into the outer lining. In cold weather they will keep you warm down to 10 degrees BUT! in the summer time, you will burn up inside them. Best pair of waders I ever owned but I gotta warn you, they are NOT cheep!
