We all know bait and lure doesn't trap animals, people who set traps do. So I'm interested in your thoughts regarding bait and lure. Lots of folks have a hard time explaining their theory or excepting one when you introduce facts to nonsense. There is a reason why people run to certain states to trap target animals for catch photos and sales. With all the variables given would you mind tossing out a thought?

Iuse to long line -- reason is [run?] to other states is down south the coons are thin-not primed up-and up north coons run big , 24-26 stretcher south vs a 3638 or bigger up north and a lot more -- dogs south suck compared to them big , well furred one north -- but south late [still season] January and February cats [unlimited] and otter look good - as for bait I make most of my own but one as for lures - got to find what works on your line , I make a ok beaver and that's it the rest -- Jerry [law dog] makes a great k-9 says fox but work more on coyotes down here even use it on late season cats -- No two trappers trap the same - use the same baits-lures traps and Thank the Gods we be ourselves -D-

Knowing your target species is paramount. How, where, when and why. Baits, lures, trap location, type of set all work together to produce a catch of the target species you are after. Or not. LOL. As far as people traveling out of state to trap,,,, Well if another state has higher quality fur and more of it and you are production trapping for the season I would say why not. That would be common since.
