Mink, weasel, Rats, squirrels and other like sized critters...
For the record conibear is only a brand name for Victors line of body grippers..

There wrong as the Belise, Duke, Bridger, savage, and MB's are not and do not call there traps Coni's They are Kill Traps or body grippers... It is a very commonly made mistake... Victor must love the misunderstanding though..

cause i was gonna try a bucket set and put a body gripper in it and see how it works and i was thinking of using a 110 cause its the same size as a 120 just minus 1 spring which leads me to my next question would the 110 spring be strong enough for coon or would i need the 120 for the extra power with 2nd spring. i want a 220 but once it gets to $10 a trap it starts to get out of my budget
i suppose a duke 160 would work. im looking for advice and personal onions

i think you would want at least a 160 for coon marc 110s are very small for coons

155-160 is the smallest I would ever use on coon.. I know some guys have said they use 110's and 120's on coon but not me as I have a hard enough time trying to get one to stick there head in a 160.. IMO a 110 does not have the power to properly kill a coon. 220's are the best option if you are trying to body grip a coon IMO...

Marc a 160 is also a good coon trap but you will see more refusals with it compared to a 220.. I think in the long run you will be MUCH happier with the 220..

a 110 will actually handle coon, my landlord brought one in today he caught on a rat float in a 110, so if you can get a coon to put his head in a 110 in a bucket, then all the power to you, go for it

A 110 is not a coon trap by no means in my opinion... Not only is it not a good choice it is not ethical to set such a trap when it does not have the power to what it was intended too..

I agree with EVERYONE! hahaha Forrest and bill are right, a 110 is not the "best" trap for coon. will it hold it.... if it catchs him behind the ears it will. will it kill him??? prolly. but it wont be a fast humane kill and nobody wants that. if your going to use a 110 size trap, use a 120. the dual springs will end it quick. 160's are also a good coon trap. you'll get less refusals than a 120. 220's IMO are a great coon trap. less refusals than even a 160 and the power to end it fast. if its LEGAL to set a 330 on land where you live, than thats even better. be careful with that cuz thats a big body grip and ANYTHING will be able to stick its head in. And as you all should know, you stick your head in a 330, its the last 330 you will stick your head in. legal or not, i dont personally recomend a 330 on land. way to easy to take nontargets.

You could put a foothold infront of the bucket instead of a conni (I use the term "conni" as a referral to body grippers, Cause victors Connibears have a capitol C and its "connibear" not conni, and everybody knows what I mean)
I reckon 8 inches out and an inch to the left (or right) should work. it might be cheaper?
I don't have any experience in this area, but I have read a little on it and it sounds good.
Anybody have any ideas?
