After reading yotkillers post on the hay set, this has raised a couple of questions for me. 1. here in maine where i am its far and few between feilds, would the hay set still work around here? mostly wooded logging roads and small clearing.
2 could this set be varyed by useing hard wood leaves and or pine needles, and still be affective?
we do get alot of rain here i use peet moss and dry ant hill dirt mixed, but when rain for a few days then it turns cold traps will freeze up.
Any helpful hits are much appreicated.

Take your dirt and mix it with salt to prevent frozen sets.
