Experting some rain showers this weekend. what is some things I can do to bed my traps that the rain won't hurt. Was thinking about covering with pine needles or grass, would this work for cats and fox?

I wouldn't advise pine needles as they may tend to counter act your jaws closing enough.I would use peet moss covering as it will drain fairly well ,that's all I can advise because when it rains,it messes stuff up pretty bad.You could also use SAND as it drains well,or faster than gumbo type soils.LarryGene

Dry peat moss and waxed dirt work fairly well in rain. If it rains enough it will cause problems no matter what. Also be aware that rain followed by cold below freezing will lock your trap up solid. So often rebedding is necessary.
