ok, so im going to lamnate some of my 1.75s this yr they are 2-coil and my ussal target are fox. however, the yotes are moving in quite quick...anyways my ? is how much will a simple lamination slow down my 1.75s? will it be enough to really make a difference?....cause id just rather not 4-coil them and what are normal diameter of the lams?...ive been hearing 9/16" does that sound about right?
THANKS ALOT FOR THE ADVICE!

Hey Aaron,Any time you laminate it does add weight to the jaws no doubt. What you might do is buy some #2 springs or even #3 springs and that might displace the added weight,I am not sure if the 3's will fit but at a $1.58 a pair or close you not out a lot there.Thing about it is ,your going to add weight.
Personally I have some 1.75's and I laminated with #9 wire, the way I do that is put a yard stick between the jaws to make sure I am to the edge as far as I need to be,then tack weld it in place, that way your added laminate is right up to the edge of the jaw where it touches the foot! Those are four coiled and they hold coyote great, only problem is a 1.75 sure doesn't have much jaw spread and the pans are smaller than say a number three so your "kill" area is not that big for coyote.Larry Gene
