Also thought this was a nice pic of just why the dirthole set was my choice for the trapline. This is in the middle of our sheep pasture on a quad trail that leads up to a large ridge. Nothing has been done here just happened to come up on it one morning on my way to scout trap locations.

Nice color on that yote, I like the white belly fur. Most of them around here are very poor color, to much brown on them. Is that a porcupine quill in his chin?

all i would do is hose it off (pressure washer) hang it out untill it has a slight coat of rust then dye and wax it!!

Thanks for the tip foxer. Ravish its easy right now for me to find good set locations as it's lambing time on the farm. Two weeks prior to me setting out traps two coys were in the barnyard looking for fresh afterbirth and abandoned lambs. Once there entrance points through the fence were located I just put a dirthole set nearby. Has anyone used afterbirth or something of the sort for lure before? just wondering if it would a good bait to use at a set. thanks
