I like the cheap HP's as they are easy on the cage trap bottoms and gets the job done but its only a 10-12 inch shot there! If shooting some distance I'd go with hotter load like Larry said. My in-law shoots up my live trap "helping" me out sometimes but uses what ever he has, he once used my .380 on a fox and has shot the wire on the bottoms up more than once. Used to let him use my live traps but then found coons in them that had melted the wire from not being removed after dispatching!

You have ever right to be proud of that gun and a fine one it is! I enjoy this board and forum ,but I cannot support Pro boards if they don't like guns,I know this is not Forest stand, its gotta be Pro Board.Larry

I know it gripes us to no end when we can't sell a gun on line, or if we can't post a pic of our favorite. But, pro boards are trying to protect themselves against legal litigation. Same as with the biggest online auction site. They don't mind you selling a fur but won't allow any sale of firearms or even some parts. It has gotten to be so that "big brother" has everyone spooked. I don't want the ATF knocking on my door because I sold a gun on line. It is a violation of Federal law and while I don't agree with it; right now I have to deal with it. As I understand it, at this time the only way you can sell a firearm on the internet is to legally go through one licensed firearms dealer to another.
