Im still kicking ideas around....I like the idea of only having 1 land trap. I was set on bridgers...but i have to admit every time im flipping through my MTP catolog an i see the 450 and the 550...Im drawn to the good looking 550 Is the 550 a good coon trap as well as a yote trap? and if so, would you rather carry nothing but 550s rather then #1 bridgers for your coon sets and #2 for yotes sets?

I have caught some coons in my 550's and they held just fine. no chew outs, i personally love the 550. I do like the idea of just having one land trap that does it all and the 550 catches and holds everything i have here.

I would pick a #2 full Mod. Bridger over a MB 550... I use a lot of #2's on my coon line and like them a lot..
Both are super traps IMO and I trap with both.

I voted for the 550 because i like how they come ready to go. I also run the fully modified Bridger #2 traps and they are great as well, but i do need to to do a little tweaking for coyotes.
IMO if you want an all around trap that will hold any thing that jumps in, i would get a MB550. The only animals i wouldn't use this trap on are Mink, weasel, and muskrats. Oh and a wolf might turn it into a john deere tractor looking trap LOL so i wouldn't use it for them either.
