Care to share your time saving tips?? Anything like pre baiting dogproofs, pre digging pockets to checking your route on a map for best time/shortest distance. Stuff like pre setting your cages (doors closed) and covering them with brush for faster time. I know that we have had topics like this before but with season coming up I thought a refresher might be in order so we can think about these things and be prepared.......

Get your snares in place before season, where legal. Just make sure the farmers arent going to be running brushhogs, combines, or hay mowers between when you preset and the season.
If you cant prestake, at least get out to your set locations to test the ground with your stakes so that you know exactly which kind of staking system you will need come opening day.
If you have some flat set locations, you can go ahead and predig your trap beds for them and cover them over with grass that way, the fresh dirt smell will dissappear by the time you set your trap and the dead grass will be perfect blending material when you arrive to set.

I have everything prestaked for coon. Start with staking snares and conibears. About 1 week before season I start prestaking my water sets. Opening day I can usually get all 3-400 sets made. Just set and go.
