the son of a friend of mine gave me a coon he shot, with freakin buckshot at that, what is th best way to sew up some holes? i tried to sew up some knicks last year (my first year trapping) with not so much luck.

I'm starting to sew more and more....and after a few it gets easy.
And you can really fix up a fur out pelt.
For anything that is put up fur in....in my opinion sewing is a waste of time. Or at least there is no benefit to the grade.
The point of sewing is to hide the hole.
But I'm not an expert, there are maybe better answers out there for you.

I do not bother sewing coon. On canines I sew if needed or simply super glue the hole shut. On fur out animals you can get away with murder! lol
