Yesterday I set 3 turtle traps at about 2:45. I went back at 8 and had a 10-12 pound snapper and a little 5 pound snapper. I kept the bigger turtle and will get a picture up of him soon. Last night it was dark when I tried taking the pictures. Im about to go check them again.

Well, this morning when I went out to get a picture of the turtle he was gone. I dont know how he got out of the pen we had him in, but he did. I went back and checked the traps again. I pulled the first one up and had about a 8 pound snapper. I let him back out. The next trap had about a 15 pound turtle. The last trap had a turtle about 13 pounds and a turtle about 10 pounds. That was my firsth double with those traps. I am uploading a picture of them right now. So that makes a total of 5 turtles so far this year.

D- I dont sell them I eat them. Last night I picked the traps up out of the pond and brought 2 of them to a pond behind my house. I made another trap with a bait box and tried it out back there. I just went and checked them and had 2 snappers about 15 pounds. 2 for 3 was a good day for me. I will try and get picture of them up later.
indie, I have about 20lb left from last yr. that didnt make it to the boat its froze up in water so I only need to get another 20lbs for this yr.--Planning on selling a few on the live market this yr. thats the reason I was asking--D- just like trapping wackem and stackem

Sorry about not getting pictures up yet. Yesterday I only had one snapper and it was too keep. The pond i have them set in doesnt hold water, it fills up when it rains, but leaks through holes in the bank into the creek beside it. The pond is almost empty, but there are still a couple snappers in there. Diddnt have a turtle today but rebaited the traps with fresh bait.
