how do you plan to offset them? ? you grinding the offsets into the jaws or are you gonna lug offset them.... if you lug offset them your spring levers will not come up as high when a catch is made unless you do some grinding on the jaws or bending on the spring levers.... if i was offsetting traps i wouldnt go anything under 3/16...but thats just my opinion...

was goin to grind in the off set so the spring levers still come up. i just dont want to make the jaw to weak thats all.

in all honesty you would be further ahead to just order new offset jaws for those traps...the time you will have in grinding them (to do them right) will add up....and you can buy offsets replacement jaws for 3.15 a pair from F&T..

well if you have access to a laser i would get them lasered instead of the grinding...then weld your lams on after they are cut...your lams 3/16 would add enough strength to that jaw after the cuts....
